Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Ricardo Portillo, the referee in Utah who passed away this past week after being struck by a player. In addition to our condolences, we would like to express our deep appreciation of Mr. Portillo’s dedication as a match official and the dedication of all referees, without whom the game would be impossible. Every referee deserves to be treated with respect by all those who play, watch and support the game.
